As usual I sit in the corner of the classroom,
Silently staring at the large teacher in front of me.
He goes on to explain how the 6th grade works,
Waving us off to talk and introduce each other.
However I only stare blankly in front of me,
That is until a blonde female walks with a bounce,
Eyes gleaming gleefully at me.
“Hiya! I’m Marlena and you are?”
Instead of talking I stare at her, confusion clear,
But she only continues to wait for an answer.
However I give her none.
Once class is over, we go to English and she follows,
That same damn bounce in her walk as she asks me.
Over and over and over.
It was the exact same in that class,
This girl begging, whining and pouting.
Days go by and still this happens.
Still I give her no answer that was until she started poking,
Once that started it never stopped.
Finally I turn to her, in the classroom with the large teacher,
The one who wanted us to talk to each other.
I say my name, a rather simple 3-letter name,
But she acts like it’s the greatest thing in the world.
“Nice to meet ya at last Sam.”
